THE challenge
The assignment consisted of dismantling and removing all process/production-related equipment, such as ink storage and lines, printing presses, roll changers, cutting lines, various water treatment systems, conveyor belts, and chain conveyors.
The work required careful preparation and controlled execution due to the scale, limited accessibility, and weight of the pressure towers present.
Our Approach
Prior to dismantling, all reusable parts were carefully disassembled. These components are intended for reuse and sale, thereby extending the lifespan of valuable materials.
After securing the installations, work began on removing all systems and freeing the printing presses.
To safely remove the printing towers from the building, a number of structural modifications were made and the facade was temporarily opened locally. After the printing presses were cleared, the individual printing towers were carefully lowered, loaded onto transport, and transported to an approved processor to process the materials in a responsible and sustainable manner.
After clearing the various work areas and closing up the facade, the project was handed over to the client.
Thanks to tight logistical planning and safe execution, the work was completed efficiently and with minimal disruption to the surrounding area.
This project underscores Bottelier's working method: first maximizing the reuse of valuable components, followed by safe and efficient dismantling and sustainable processing of the remaining materials.
