Remove storage tank

For one of our regular clients in Ghent (BE), we have secured the contract to remove an old and dilapidated storage tank (14m diameter and 7m high). The tank was situated in a very difficult-to-reach location along the waterfront near an operational factory.

Our Approach

After completing the necessary preparatory work, such as drafting the required Health, Safety, and Environment plans, Risk Assessments (TRAs), and work meetings, the project could physically commence.

The first step of this project was setting up the demolition site. Given the very limited space, a great deal of time and effort was put into positioning a demolition crane so that the tank could be cut open safely. Due to the poor condition of the tank, no people were allowed near it, and the entire tank was demolished using the crane. All resulting materials were loaded into the waiting container and transported to an approved processor. Bottelier completed this project on schedule, within budget, and with zero incidents.

Closure due to construction holiday

Please note: due to the construction holiday, we will be closed from Monday, July 20 to Friday, August 14. Messages and requests will be processed as soon as possible after this period. Thank you for your understanding!
